This painting was based on a sketch I made above the A66 byepass bridge at Keswick. After Storm Desmond flooded this area and most of the Lake District and Cumbria I modified this painting to raise the river level to the top of the old bridge which you can see at the bottom of the painting. Despite having an enormous arch it nearly got swept away such was the power of the water. This painting is ready to hang with edges are painted a dull yellowish green like the mountains.
