As we approach the coast of southwest Africa the fresh breeze of the Trade Winds wips up the sea and we are accompanied by dolphins feeding on the nutrient rich cold ocean current welling up from far below. The banner along the bottom of the mural tells us that the final scientific measuring station PS102/42-2 was at 29deg 42.28mins south and 12 deg 20.49 mins east (of the Greenwich meridian). The desert coast of Namibia appears on the upper right.
